Quest - HPI12S - 12" Compact Passive Subwoffer
Quest Engineering$2,209.99Compact Passive Sub-Bass A small sub with a monster footprint. Fly it, hide it, hang it, as an ultra-compact passive sub bass for mobile audio or permanent installation, the HPI12S is a spectacular performer. Light in weight and high in LF output, the HPI12S is ideally suited to small medium sized venues that require authentic sub bass with a very low visual profile. A Closer Look The custom built 12" driver in the HPI12S is one of the very few loudspeakers with cone material made from Australian eucalyptus hardwood. This material has strength like a composite material but the warm sound of a cardboard cone; much loved by hi-fi enthusiasts. The benefit with the Quest driver is it can take serious punishment while still sounding like high end studio. A (small) Pro Package Internal rigging points allow the sub bass to be flown for permanent ceiling installation with four top mounter reinforced inserts and one extra on each side. A 35mm top hat can accommodate a standard speaker pole for mounting a satellite mid-high box. Power handling is high for such a small system with a power amplifier recommendation of 600W nominal. Compact & Clean The birch ply casing looks serious and is built to last the distance in a high performance environment. Quest - HPI111 - 10" All-round speaker for Vocals and Music.
Quest Engineering$3,012.99Compact High-definition Loudspeaker The HPI111 is a medium to high powered 90 degree dispersion compact speaker system designed to project voice and music throughout mid sized performance venues. It can be hung in small arrays or function as a stand alone speaker system in mobile PA production with or without sub bass enhancement. Contained within the discrete HPI111 appearance there are a number of key technical innovations to improve performance in real venue environments. A Closer Look The HPI111 system is comprised of a single 1" 90 degree asymmetrical wave guide and one 10" high powered woofer. The HF can be rotated to deliver optimum coverage in both vertical and horizontal installations. This makes the HPI111 very function in a wide variety of installation environments for both vertical and horizontal installation. The HPI111 is the perfect candidate for a myriad of applications including performing arts centres, houses of worship, corporate theatres and venue environments where mid level SPL coupled with high definition vocal reproduction is required. The HPI111 is available in black (HPI111) or white (HPI111W) low sheen finish. Rigging & Accessories To get the best from the HPI111 system, the multi-purpose light weight QR flying/installation system extends the range of installation options. The rigging system is progressive with its "single box top spine hanging bracket" system for single speaker systems, progressing to QR2 pan tilt wall bracket and QR3 two box hang. A QR Series U bracket is also available for single box horizontal installation. The QR3 hanging plate has multiple splay angle options to allow precise horizontal dispersion control. Thanks to the 90 degree dispersion of the of the HPI 111, the QR3 hanging bracket suspending two HPI111 boxes can cover a full 180 degrees. Perfect for Unfriendly Environments Bearing in mind most venue architecture is inclined to degrade the performance of standard sound systems. A common problem in many venues is reproducing intelligible voice. The degrading effect of wall and ceiling reflections causes loss of speech intelligibility. The location in a room where the reflections are approaching the level of the sound system is known as "the critical distance". The HPI111 system extends the "critical distance" by utilizing a custom HF wave guide. The design of the asymmetrical HF wave guide is such that it directs the sound away from the walls and ceiling. Sound is directed only where it is needed and away from the reflective surfaces of the venue. The result is exceptional vocal clarity and control over the dispersion area. Power Me Up The HPI111 can take serious power by any standard. Quest Engineering recommends an amplifier capable of delivering 480-720W (nominal) to ensure full performance. The perfect solution are Quest's QA3004, QA4004 or the new QX4500 Putting Energy Where it's Needed Quest has refined the technical art of " asymmetrical audio projection" for the HPI110/111 loudspeakers Locating the sound where the audience is, and not to the walls and ceilings. The result is high intelligibility vocal imaging in reverberant venues. Whether an array or single box system, installation is simple and functional. The benefits of Quest asymmetrical projection ? Get higher vocal intelligibility The acoustic energy is directed to where you want it (the audience), and not to the reflective surfaces around the room. The nature of the asymmetrical projection is a more efficient use of the energy. Consonant sounds are not drowned out by reverberant energy. The sound coverage and vocal image is more uniform throughout the listening area and high frequency component is less likely to "fall off" over distance. Specifications Rec Amplifier 480 - 720W Nom. Quest - HPI110 - 10" Passive Cabinet that is GREAT for Vocals.
Quest Engineering$3,737.99Compact High-definition Loudspeaker Either mobile live sound or permanent installation; the HPI110 is a lightweight high powered compact speaker system that has a number of key technical innovations to improve performance in real venue environments. Most venues potentially degrade the performance of standard sound systems regardless of the quality. The HPI110 can be installed as a single element or as part of an array of up to three elements. Everything about the HPI110 shows a design aimed at functionality in the real world. A Closer Look Functionality in the real world is what separates the HPI110 from the rest of the field. Have a bad sounding venue space? You need the HPI110. One consistent problem in reproducing intelligible voice in a venue is the degrading effect of wall and ceiling reflections. When a listener hears more sound from the reflected (reverberant) field than the primary sound system, loss of speech intelligibility results. This location in the room is known as "beyond the critical distance". The HPI system extends the "critical distance" by utilising a custom HF wave guide to direct the sound away from the walls and ceiling and into the listener area. The HPI110 mid-high asymmetrical wave guide provides 60 degrees horizontal dispersion at the base of the flare and 30 degrees at the top. Vertical dispersion above the box is limited to 15 degrees. A large format HF driver allows for a relatively low cross-over frequency and this means more control over a wider frequency area. The HPI110 is available in black (HPI110) or white (HPI110W) low sheen finish. Rigging & Accessories To get the best from the HPI110, the QR rigging system allows installation from a single box to three box arrays. With an array of three HPI110 speakers weighing in at 47kg, it's one of the most light-weight yet high powered systems in the world. This is particularly important if installation is required in a heritage building or an existing space with weight restrictions. The rigging system is progressive with its "top spine hanging bracket" system for single speaker systems, QR2 wall bracket, QR3/4 for flown installations and a U bracket that can be direct wall or truss mounted. Permanent or Portable The HPI110 is at home on the road. The lightweight ergonomic design makes it ideal for portable mobile audio. A pair of HPI110 boxes on a "T" piece can be located on a sub bass box with a conventional speaker pole for mobile full range sound. The high power handling and projection characteristics mean a two box array can push a lot of high SPL audio into a medium sized venue space. The long throw characteristics of the system can deliver a surprisingly coherent result at 48 metres, which is outstanding for such a physically small speaker system. In its most basic form, no system controller or complex system correction electronics is needed to get great sonic results from the HPI110. Just plug it on and play. With lightweight, high power and system scalability, the HPI110 is a truly versatile system. Putting Energy Where it's Needed Quest has refined the technical art of " asymmetrical audio projection" for the HPI110/111 loudspeakers ?
