ARX - DI-PLUS RC
ARX$494.99Phantom and Rechargeable NiMH battery powered in a rugged steel chassis, with separate Speaker Level input connector. Working with the pedigree of our industry standard DI Plus and DI Plus 2 Direct Boxes, we've redesigned and updated our circuitry and packaging, and the end result is our new DI Plus RC Direct Box. As a manufacturer, ARX is well aware of the problems of disposing of batteries in an environmentally friendly way so we've powered the DI Plus2 RC with an internal long life NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) rechargeable battery that can be charged off either the phantom power on the mic line, or via the 12V DC input, removing battery "throw away" as an issue. The new DI Plus RC features a low noise high impedance input buffer with switchable 20dB Pad, and a low distortion high current output stage able to drive the longest cable runs. It represents another major step forward in active direct boxes. Packaged in a single channel stand-alone format, the DI Plus RC represents a fresh look at active D.I. concepts. Precision engineered Ultra quiet, ultra clean circuitry delivers maximum headroom whatever the signal. Premium grade components, plus an all-steel chassis gives excellent hum and noise specifications and superb audio quality in a tough, roadworthy package. Level control The DI Plus RC features a Normal gain high impedance unbalanced input on the front panel, running to a balanced XLR output on the rear. There is also a separate -40dB Speaker Level input for signal coming from the External (auxiliary) speaker output of an amplifier. A global Pad switch drops both the normal input and the speaker input by a further 20dB, making it suitable for all applications, from the softest keyboard to the hottest broadcast levels. The DI Plus RC will automatically switch itself to the console's own Phantom Power, if available, and an LED will indicate this mode. Turn the Phantom Power off and it will instantly revert back to battery mode. Rugged all-steel case A lot of direct boxes are fitted into brittle cast alloy cases. Not this one! The tough all-steel inner and outer chassis of the DI Plus RC provide excellent RF/EMF shielding while making it a sturdy, heavy duty unit that is hard to dislodge, and hard to leave behind. Whether you're a Studio or Live Sound engineer, installation contractor, or broadcast engineer, you want all the dynamics and clarity of the original sound source transferred to the mixing console. The ARX DI Plus RC provides a rugged, no-compromise solution to all direct injection and signal balancing requirements. ARX - Iso Balancer VC - Dual Channel Unbalanced To Balanced With Level Control
ARX$408.99Audibox ISO Balancer VC The NEW ISO Balancer VC still converts a stereo Unbalanced Low Impedance signal to a stereo Balanced Low Impedance signal suitable for use with professional equipment and long cable runs, but now you can reduce the output level as required for accurate level matching. Applications include: In corporate AV applications the output from a DVD player, Laptop Computer, i-Pad or other audio source can be remotely controlled externally by the ISO Balancer VC without the need to scroll through pull down menus mid performance, or access the Mixing Console, or AV system network controllers. Setting and varying DJ monitor loudspeaker levels can be problematic, since most DJ Mixers only have 1 variable master output and a non variable output. The ISO Balancer VC allows the monitor volume to be controlled by the DJ, and provides transformer isolation to eliminate ground loop hums. Controlling the volume of powered loudspeakers, especially in installations can be difficult when being fed by CD Players etc, which normally have no output level control. CD player outputs can be connected to the RCA inputs of the ISO Balancer VC , and the Balanced XLR outputs then go to the inputs on a mixer or a pair of powered speakers over long cable runs, without introducing ground hums and other interference. The level can be adjusted from maximum down to zero with the volume control on the ISO Balancer VC . Transformer Ground isolation provides low-noise operation suitable for any application, and an Audio Ground lift switch is also fitted, to minimise/remove ground loop hum. Switch in or out as required. The ISO Balancer VC is a totally passive device with no power requirements, making it a truly universal problem solver. Its heavy duty all-steel chassis is finished in attractive matt textured powdercoat, with hardwearing epoxy screen printing and slip resistant rubber basepad. ARX - MaxiMix - Line Mixer : Stereo 4 In 2 Out, Mono 8 In 1 Out, Balanced XLRs
ARX$1,380.99For the Installation Contractor, accurately mixing line level audio signals has never been easy. Using the wrong product can lead to lack of headroom, vastly differing input levels, uneven output levels, RF breakthrough - the problems have been seemingly endless. Until now, that is! The Solution Introducing the MaxiMIX from ARX: Two independent mixdown groups, each consisting of 4 line inputs with individual level controls and RF filters. Both groups can be linked for a Mono 8 channel mix. Each input has up to +6dB of gain available, and full attenuation to allow matching of any line level signals. Balanced Inputs and Outputs In Stereo mode, each of the 4 electronically balanced inputs combine into fully balanced Master outputs, each of which has 2 male XLR sockets. In Mono mode all Eight inputs mix down to a single linked pair of Master outputs Wide Dynamic Range Internally, careful attention to the signal path design has resulted in a unit with wide dynamic range, enough headroom to cope with the hottest line signal, and better than digital noise specifications Universal AC Power AC power range is a universal 100 to 120V or 220 to 240V AC, and is connected to the unit via a standard three pin IEC connector, with built-in fuse and voltage change switch. Applications A typical MaxiMIX application would be as an Installation Master Mixer, combining Live Band Mix, Disco, KTV and Audio-for-Video signals. In this way they can all run independently of each other through the one speaker system. Other applications include using it as a line sub-mixer for external effects units, and as a Keyboards, Drum machines or other Electronic Instruments sub-mixer. Accurate and compact, the MaxiMIX's unique combination of ultra low distortion, low noise and high headroom makes it the ideal installation line mixer. ARX - MaxiSplit - Line Splitter : 2 In 4 Out Or 1 In 8 Out, Balanced XLRs
ARX$1,380.99In the modern multi-zone Installation audio environment it has become a fact of life that one signal now has to go to more than one place, and usually at differing levels. And, to ensure a low noise floor and good frequency response, the split signal needs to be buffered and balanced as well. The Solution To fulfil this seemingly simple but important signal splitting task, ARX have designed the MaxiSPLIT : - two independent channels of 1 into 4 Splitters, switchable to a single channel 1 into 8 Splitter by using the rear panel channel link switch. Mode status is shown by the front panel LED indicators. Balanced Inputs and Outputs Each channel features Male and Female electronically balanced XLR inputs, with passive RF filtering to prevent RF breakthrough. Each output features an electronically balanced Male XLR output with individual output gain control on the front panel, providing up to +6dB of gain. Wide Dynamic Range Internally, careful attention to signal path design has resulted in a unit with wide dynamic range, enough headroom to cope with the hottest line signal, and better than digital noise specifications. Universal AC Power AC power range is a universal 100 to 120V or 220 to 240V AC, and is connected to the unit via a standard IEC connector, with built-in fuse and voltage change switch Applications A typical MaxiSplit application would be as a Master Line Distribution Splitter. In this way it can control the levels of 4 different zones in a stereo installation, or up to 8 different zones in a mono installation. Other applications include splitting effects sends to multiple effects units in both Studio and Live sound applications, supplying different feeds from the main signal, and separating OB signals in broadcasting. Accurate and compact, the MaxiSplit's unique combination of ultra low distortion, low noise and high headroom makes it the ideal installation line distribution splitter. ARX - MSX 32 BST - 8 Ch Active Splitter System. Electronic Balanced Outputs Main & Mon Transformer Balanced Outputs Split 1 & 2
ARX$8,517.99Electronically Balanced Main and Monitor Outputs, Transformer Balanced Outputs Splits 1 and 2. Superb Audio Quality Active microphone and line signal splitting has a number of benefits over using passive splitters: primarily these are improved sound quality, noise figures comparable to the best microphone inputs, and increased resistance to RFI. About the MSX 32 With these benefits in mind, the NEW ARX MSX 32 Active Microphone/Line Splitter has been developed to deliver the performance required by the increasing complexity of today’s standards of audio production. The MSX 32 consists of eight channels of actively buffered ultra low noise Microphone/Line Splitter. Each of these channels has two transformer Balanced splits on the front panel and two electronically Balanced outputs on the rear panel for Main and Monitor. These can be optionally transformer Balanced. Each channel has a –20 dB pad switch plus silently switchable 48V Phantom power with indicator LED. A PFL switch and 6 LED metering enables each channel to be easily checked with headphones for signal monitoring, and also for line tracing when troubleshooting. The PFL busses of multiple MSX32 units can be linked by connectors on the rear panel. Gain through the MSX 32 can be set individually by adjusting the rotary Gain control on the front panel of each channel, from 0dB through to +40 dB in 10 dB steps A ‘Link’ switch links each channel to the previous one, providing an ultimate maximum of 32 Outputs from a single input. An indicator LED shows when this is active. A Clip LED indicates imminent signal overload through the channel. Each channel also has a rear panel switch hard-linking the Input to the Main output. Internally, powerful RF input filtering removes both common mode and differential interference at ultrasonic frequencies and above. High CMRR is achieved by the use of precision components throughout. Internal Power Supply and the PSU32 Redundant back-up supply The MSX 32 uses an internal toroidal transformer based power to get the maximum benefit from the ultra low noise design of the splitter circuitry. However, for “critical” applications where systems must keep operating, we recommend including the PSU 32 redundant power supply unit. Individual +V, -V and 48VDC rail LED indicators show when the PSU 32 redundant power supply unit is connected to the MSX 32. An illuminated power switch on the front panel provides visual confirmation of AC power connection to the unit. The headphone output and the 6 LED PFL metering are both mounted on the right hand side of the front panel. Rear panel connectors enable this function to be linked when using multiple MSX 32 units. To sum up, this feature packed two RU device is the answer wherever transparent signal buffering and routing is required. ARX - Q Switch - Quad Channel Stereo Switcher
ARX$333.99The Q switch is a Quad Channel Stereo Switcher; a new addition to our popular AudiBox range of precision audio tools. What does it do? With this useful device you can: Switch any of FOUR stereo inputs to ONE stereo output, OR Switch ONE stereo input to any of FOUR stereo outputs. Careful user-friendly annotation makes it easy to understand and to see which input or output is being switched. A bank of four latching interlocked switches mean you can only select one switch at a time. A 'scribble-strip' lets you write above each switch with a Chinagraph® or grease pencil, so you can easily confirm what is being switched. Its innovative precision design allows the Q switch to be used in two modes: 1 : 4 for sending any one of 4 sets of Powered Loudspeakers, Sub Woofers etc, or 4 : 1 for selecting any one of 4 stereo input signal sources to one output in Broadcast, Installation, Studio, and Live Sound applications The Q switch has TipRingSleeve jack sockets which accept balanced or unbalanced signals. How does it work? On the Right side of the rear panel (see above), a Left and Right pair of jack sockets are marked IN/OUT. If these are being used as the Inputs , then the 4 jack pairs to the Left of the white line are the Outputs , and pushing the switches on the front panel makes one of those pairs active, depending on the switch you push. However, If you are using these 4 pairs of jack sockets as Inputs , then whichever switch you press on the front will switch that signal to the Right pair of jack sockets, and they will then be the Outputs . It really is as simple as that. No mode switches to set, no learning curve, no software to set up, just Plug and Play in the truest sense of the word! Depending on which mode you use, you can cross out the IN or OUT notations with your Chinagraph® or grease pencil. If you change you mind and change the application, just wipe it off and cross out the other. The heavy duty all-steel chassis is finished in attractive matt textured powdercoat, with hardwearing epoxy screen printing and slip resistant rubber pads. The Q switch is a totally passive device with no power requirements, making it a truly universal problem solver. Security features include Kensington®-type computer lock slot and optional bracket kit for under-table mounting. Applications Any audio switching - multiple inputs to one output or vice versa Especially suited to powered loudspeaker demonstrations and use, or Broadcast, Live and Studio switching Specifications: Frequency Response: DC to Daylight (± 0.5dB) THD at Max Output: 0 Insertion Loss: 0 Input and Output Connectors: Five pairs of Insulated TRS (TipRingSleeve) Balanced jack, wired Sleeve - Ground, Tip + Hot, Ring – Cold Switches: Mega switch array - Single bank of four latching and interlocked switches Construction: All-steel powdercoated chassis, fibreglass PCB$333.99 -
