    Quest - MXS10i - 10" Compact, Concealable Subwoofer

    Quest Engineering
    $1,160.99
MXS10i Compact, Concealable Subwoofer Extended range bass, and easy to conceal. The MXS10 coupled with MX or MXC loudspeakers provides a complete, full-range audio solution. One which architects and venue designers have long been waiting for. The MXS10 is a suitable low/mid sound pressure level subwoofer for use in permanent installation environments. It is ideal as a bass extension to a distributed background music system, or as a multi-unit system in a bar or music venue. The "punchy", yet smooth performance of the MXS10 is delivered via the custom 10" 50mm Voice Coil - Dual Magnet Woofer. A decision early on in the design phase was made to build a custom driver to suit the application specific requirements of the MXS10…the result speaks for itself. A Closer Look This unique band-pass subwoofer is specifically tuned for music playback in small to medium size venues. However, despite its small size, the MXS10 delivers high output and efficiency. The tuning and performance will match or exceed many physically larger systems. An outward facing driver is located under the cabinet to acoustically pressure load the unit onto a floor/wall, or ceiling installation surface; creating an ‘acoustic chamber’ effect. This extends the workable frequency range of the subwoofer, and gives a flatter and more natural response. Integrating discrete full range sound is a challenge for architects and venue designers. Everything about the design and functionality of the MXS10 marries high performance, clean audio reproduction with varying architectural designs. Whether a new venue, or an existing one, the MXS10 is easily integrated and perfectly at home. Easy to Hide When installed with the optional MPS10 installation bracket, the MXS10 can be installed on walls, ceilings, or anywhere a venue designer wishes for concealed placement. The omni-directional coverage of the MXS10 allows the it to be placed on a ceiling, or under furniture for complete area coverage; while remaining discrete or invisible. The physical dimensions and aspect ratios of the MXS10 were chosen specifically to allow it to virtually disappear into a venue. Floor mounted under furniture, in a false ceiling space, or vertically mounted to a wall are just some examples of how the MXS10 can vanish into a venue. $479.99
MXC601 High-Fidelity Ceiling Monitors MXC601 [6" x 1"- 80W] The MXC601 is designed to be a ceiling mount version of the MX wall speaker series. The MX series is a system of audio building blocks that allows architects and venue designers to create a seamless full range audio. The MXC601 can be integrated as part of an MX601 installation and give the same sonic performance in a series or parallel wiring to the MX601 wall speakers. The MXC601 can give extended full range audio coverage when the compact MX10S sub bass is added. The MXC601 can be wired as a 16Ω low impedance speaker or a 70/100 volt installation with selectable wattage tapings and is also available in a black grill option (MXC601B). A Closer look The objective for the designers of the MXC601 was to give the same performance of a high quality wall mount system in a ceiling speaker format. The appearance of the installed speaker is clean and fits in well with the modern trend of minimal visual distraction. The magnetic grill design means that there is a very neat finish to the finished installation. The result is a refined appearance that fits visually into any environment, high fidelity music and speech in a package that is easy to install and set up. The MXC601 is a premium quality ceiling speaker with a wide range of installation and wiring possibilities. As a 16Ω loudspeaker up to four units can be connected to achieve a 4Ω load to an amplifier. This allows for up to eight speakers to be connected to a stereo amplifier with the result being a very high fidelity distributed system. Multiple 70/100 volt tapings and also an EQ contour can be selected from the front baffle of an installed speaker. This allows for fine tuning after installation if desired. The aluminium fire resistant casing is acoustically damped and contains a suspension ring on the top of the casing for hanging installation or strain relief. The drivers and internal electronics are identical to the MX601. Like the MX601, The MXC contains a completely new type of woofer design. Quest has designed this new type of driver and incorporated a passive resonance circuit that simulates the action of a reflex port but with a more extended frequency range. The lightweight of the cabinet and neodymium magnet components mean that the weight stress on ceiling tiles is low and reinforcing bars are not required. MX601 / MX801 Monitors High-Fidelity Weatherproof Loudspeakers MX801 [8" x 1" - 100W] Not just another new speaker range, the MX Series is a system of audio building blocks that allows architects and venue designers to create a seamless full range audio presence, without compromising on aesthetics. The range is based around a 6” or 8”, two-way, full range, wall or ceiling mountable loudspeaker and can be augmented with a very compact subwoofer system. Ceiling speaker versions are also available. The Ultra-compact MX601 and MX801 loudspeakers are very low profile and feature Hi-Fi quality audio reproduction, withstand direct all-weather environments, and include an installation friendly mounting system that is both elegant and practical. Revealing Details The objective for the Engineers of the MX Series Indoor/Outdoor line-up was to take the compact wall mount speaker to a new standard of performance. This meant consulting with a wide range of venue and public space designers to determine what is needed in a modern designed architectural space. To achieve the desired outcomes a completely new approach to the design was required, both technically for the audio performance, and in developing new manufacturing techniques. The result is a refined appearance that fits visually into any environment, reproduces Hi-Fi quality music and speech; and is easy to install. The MX Series are small in size considering the SPL output and frequency response they are capable of delivering. The housings are shaped and finished to reflect light in a way that helps them blend in visually with modern architectural styles. To achieve the very small physical size, a completely new type of woofer design was required. A conventional woofer would not fit in the intended space or deliver the bass response required in a sealed enclosure. Quest has designed a new type of driver and also incorporated a passive resonance circuit that simulates the action of a reflex port. This means an 8” driver can function at full capacity within a cabinet space that would normally be suited for a 6” driver. As a result of this, and the sealed enclosure design, the MX Series can be environmentally rated up to IP67. For use outdoor installation, addition of the optional IPMX1 kit for electrical connection weather protection is recommended. This IP rating opens up new avenues for system design and placement – the opportunities are endless. The MX Series is available in black (MX601 / MX801) or white (MX601W / MX801W) finished in clear low sheen finish. Q-Mount UB1 Mounting System Wall mounting is made easy with the patented Q- Mount UB1 wall mounting system. The UB1 included with both the MX601 and MX801 is a pan/tilt system that is based around a ’10 degree locking ball and socket’ joint. This allows for precise directivity control at uniform angles. The locking mechanism requires no tools and is high strength with no capacity to slip over time. The combination of the parallel terminal plug on the MX Series and the “aim and clamp” bracket design means that installation takes minimal time. Quest - HPI8i - 8" Multi-purpose 2-way Passive Speaker

    Quest Engineering
    $1,762.99
Multi-purpose 2-way Passive Speaker The HPI8i is a compact full frequency range multi-purpose 2-way passive speaker system designed for live sound and permanent installation. Priority in the design is focused towards strong voice projection capability in medium to larger venue spaces and the HPI8i can be installed as a complementary element to the HPI111 and HPI110 installation. It is suited to front-of house sound for mid to long throw applications in both stand-alone applications, as part of a small array or distributed system and can be installed in vertical or horizontal configurations. A Closer Look A little box with big potential, the HPI8i has a number of features designed to increase performance and versatility for a professional sound installation environment. A key feature is the Quest designed asymmetrical high frequency wave guide. This feature helps lower the reverberant problems in many venue environments that degrade voice intelligibility, by focusing the sound to where it is needed and away from walls and ceilings. The result is a speaker that sounds much bigger than it appears. This is highly beneficial when sightlines and venue architectural requirement demand discrete low profile audio and high output. Asymmetrical Rotation The 90 degree wave-guide has a horizontal dispersion of 90 degrees at the base of the flare and 45 degrees at the top. Vertical dispersion is 15 degrees above horizontal and 45 degrees below. This effectively gives a wide HF energy dispersion in a close fill application and beams to the far field. Great for eliminating "hot spots" close to the speaker while still delivering great projection across a large floor area. The wave guide can be rotated 90 degrees allowing for horizontal box installation and a great benefit for venues with low ceilings that previously would have required delay speakers to achieve the coverage. Designed to Work Hard The HPI8i casing is birch ply and threaded inserts for installation in a number of options. The parallel speaker inputs are recessed to aid in a tidy installation and the casing also has a convenient carry handle and tough steel grill. Rigging options include the QR2 pan tilt wall bracket with an optional HPI8i installation spine or pole mount option through the 35mm pole hole. A U bracket is also available (WBHPI8i) for horizontal installation. Power Me Up The HPI8i can take serious power for it's size. Quest Engineering recommends an amplifier capable of delivering 320-500W (nominal) to ensure full performance. The perfect solution are Quest's QM1000P, QA1004, QA2004 or the new QX4500. Visibly Working to be Invisible HPI5 - 5" High Output Loudspeaker At First Glance The HPI5 is a 5" ultra compact, passive professional sound reinforcement loudspeaker. Ideally suited to applications that require an ultra low profile solution. Its small footprint still manages to deliver medium to high output making the HPI5 ideally suited to short\medium throw environments. The HPI5 is optimized for high vocal range intelligibility as a small PA system, or as a fill\delay loudspeaker in larger indoor or outdoor systems. A full-range system can be created with the addition of an optional subwoofer (HPI12S). The HPI5 high frequency section comprises a proprietary 3/4 inch horn driver matched to a custom designed symmetrical wide dispersion constant-directivity high frequency horn. The sound signature of the HPI5 has been created in line with the entire range of Quest HPI systems making it the perfect companion to a larger system eliminating the need for extensive correction or a dedicated system processor. An Inside Look Good things definitely come in small packages and the HPI5 is no exception. The HPI5 is the culmination of three years of combined research and development by a design team determined to release a loudspeaker product that would be an uncontested class leader in power, performance and functionality. Like all things Quest, our vision was to create a product that embodied our core beliefs:, performance, practicality, value and reliability. The HPI5 is the culmination of these efforts in our smallest form factor to date. Intelligent Vocal, Musical Clarity The innovative wide dispersion symmetrical horn flare ensures exceptional throw of mid-high frequencies delivering naturally coherent vocal with projection far superior to any other speaker in its class. Musical reproduction is also impressive with the ultra high powered 5" woofer providing astonishing low end performance all the way down to 75Hz. High Power, Small Footprint Weighing in at less than 6.5kg and under 25cm, the HPI5 is easy to underestimate from the onset. Cleverly designed using the latest in high power compact driver technology, the HPI5's custom designed 5" high tech woofer and 1" coherent phase compression driver create the best in performance, size and balance. Rigging & Accessories With a choice of standard 3/8" microphone stand mounting point (on the box base) or rear mounted installation bracket, HPI5 has portable or permanent installation options. Standard speaker pole mounting is also possible with an aftermarket adaptor 3/8" threaded bolt x 12 mm. The Quest UB1-OMA or UB2-OMA mount kit makes for an easy wall or ceiling installation with full pan tilt. Clean Lines, Subtle Design The HPI5 is a loudspeaker, not a neon light. We wanted to create a subtle speaker that blends into the background without drawing undue attention to itself. With a clean black finish and low profile outlined branding along the side grill, the HPI5 blends into the background making for discrete installation. Wooden Body, Steel Faced The HPI5 chassis is made of the same heavy duty birch ply wood as our hard working and industry trusted Q-Motion systems. Finished with an extremely resilient black coating then fitted with a wrap-around heavy gauge protective steel grille, the HPI5 has been crafted to endure even the most demanding environments; and built to last. Compact Bass, Perfect Partner The HPI12S is an ultra compact single 12" sub that has been designed specifically for use with the HPI5. This 500W sub boasts a wide 42Hz - 250Hz frequency response delivering punchy LF to a HPI5 stereo or distributed system. Its internal rigging points have been designed to allow for unobtrusive ceiling installations and its 35mm top hat provides simple pole mounting for the HPI5. Power Me Up The QM1000P sub\satellite system from Quest is a convenient match for a paired HPI5 and HPI12S system. The HPI25 can function well without the aid of a dedicated system processor or extensive EQ correction. A full-range system can be created with the addition of an optional subwoofer (HPI12S). A Closer Look Specialised 5" ultra high powered drivers were developed for both the HPI5 and 25. The passive crossover system is a quasi 3-way to minimise midrange interference between resulting in a very smooth response in the vocal range. The HPI25 high frequency section comprises a proprietary 3/4 inch horn driver matched to a custom designed and rotatable high frequency horn. A mid bass rear port will give the system a little extra projection when the HPI25 is wall mounted. Best results are obtained if the system is high passed at 75-80 Hz but the high excursion drivers can function with full range program without problems. Rigging & Accessories The Quest UB-HPI25, UB1-OMA or UB2-OMA mounting kits make for an easy wall or ceiling installation. Driver Placement An added benefit with the HPI25 design is the capacity to relocate all the transducer components to suit the audio application. The HF horn can be moved to the centre and rotated to horizontal dispersion to suit a theatre infill or delay or alternatively the system can have the 5" drivers located together to increase directivity for added "throw". The horn can be located also at the top or the base of the cabinet for precise control of HF coverage. Designed to Work Hard The HPI25 is the culmination of three years of combined research and development by a design team determined to release a loudspeaker product that would be an uncontested class leader in power, performance and functionality. Like all things Quest, our vision was to create a product that embodied our core beliefs:, performance, practicality, value and reliability. The HPI25 is the culmination of these efforts. Power Me Up The HPI25 takes a lot of power for it's size. Quest Engineering recommends an amplifier capable of delivering 320-500W (nominal) to ensure full performance. Quest - HPI212S - 12" Compact High Definition Subwoofer.

    Quest Engineering
    $4,351.99
Compact High-definition Loudspeaker The HPI212S is designed to deliver "big bass" to small and medium sized venues from a package that is easy to integrate within modern venue architecture. Stylish and practical the HPI212S also features a very smooth frequency response and the audio performance is more in the class of a much larger format system. A Closer Look The first obvious attributes of the HPI212S are build quality and thoughtful design. The speaker transducers are custom built 12" drivers and are one of the very few loudspeakers with cone material made from Australian eucalyptus hardwood. This material has strength like a composite material but the warm sound of a cardboard cone; much loved by hi-fi enthusiasts. The benefit with the Quest driver is it can take serious punishment while still sounding like high end studio. Power handling is high and the 2 x 12" front-loaded low profile sub-bass enclosure delivers enhanced sub bass and great percussive "punch" you would normally expect from a much larger format system. Under the Stage or in the Air Practical considerations for installers and live sound engineering were high on the designer's priority list. The sloping connector recess on the back of the casing makes it possible to install the casing against a wall and also protects the cable connectors from possible damage. The sloping panel also acts as a cable strain relief for added reliability and great for a tidy installation. Multiple reinforced M10 threaded inserts around the casing make it possible to fly the HPI212S for permanent installation. For mobile sound, a 35mm speaker pole adaptor is installed on the casing. Power Me Up The HPI212S is a serious sub. Quest Engineering recommends an amplifier capable of delivering 800-1200W (nominal) to ensure full performance.
